Having an Equity rate card for puppetry would be an advantage. The Equity Puppeteers Network are working on this now.

There need to be anonymous mechanisms to let others know how much your rates for jobs you have been doing are.

Different funding routes to the Arts Council are there to be explored. e.g heritage lottery.

If we have a Universal basic income, this could be charged to people with less money, e.g. charities and higher rates reserved for those who can afford it.
